Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data MedResearch Blog("we") collects, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

  • Newsletter subscriptions. If you subscribe, we store your email address, optional name, and category preferences.
  • Comments. If you comment, we store the name, email address, and comment text you submit. Your email is never displayed publicly.
  • Bookmarks. Saved articles are tied to a random identifier stored in your browser, not to your identity.
  • Usage data.We keep aggregate article view counts and anonymous, cookieless traffic analytics (page views, referrers, and page-load times) — never tied to your identity.

We do not sell your personal data.

Third-party processors

We rely on the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:

  • Vercel— website hosting, request logs, and privacy-friendly, cookieless traffic & performance analytics (aggregate page views and load times — no personal profiles or cross-site tracking).
  • Supabase— database and authentication (stores subscriber and comment data).
  • Groq— the AI provider used to generate and fact-check articles. Note that article and source text is sent to Groq for processing; we do not send your comments or email to Groq.
  • Unsplash— article images.
  • Resend— sending newsletter and confirmation emails (only if you subscribe).

How we use your data

  • To send the newsletter you asked for.
  • To display and moderate comments.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site.

Retention

We keep subscriber and comment data until you ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer needed for the purpose above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can:

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email, or manage your subscription from the link we send you.
  • Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing contact@example.com. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep administrators signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
